Cultivating Community
As the sun graces us with longer hours of daylight and the warmth seeps into our faces and the soil, we find ourselves fully awakened from our winter slumber.
This spring, as we step into a new season, there's a sense that our return to gathering in community and spending time outdoors, especially in our gardens, is slightly delayed compared to previous years. Nevertheless, it's a joyous time filled with opportunities for connection and growth.
Recently, I hosted a small gathering for the Spring Equinox, where old friends and new acquaintances came together to celebrate. Among the nearly 30 attendees, there was a beautiful tapestry of connections, each person bringing their unique life experiences to share in the renewed warmth of the season. It's moments like these that remind me of the power of synchronicity and the beauty of human connection.
Amidst conversations about a "post-COVID life" and reflections on what we've learned and how we've adapted, there's a longing for normalcy. However, returning to the pre-pandemic busyness isn't necessarily progress. From my perspective, it's crucial to create spaces that are resilient, calm, and energetically healthy for ourselves, our loved ones, and the Earth.
This spring, let's encourage more people to embrace the outdoors, get their hands in the soil, harvest fresh herbs and food, and immerse themselves in the soothing embrace of nature right at home. Together, let's regenerate, cultivate, and grow as a community—around the garden and beyond.
Join us in fostering resilience, connection, and growth this spring.
